*There are travel deals for the Military?  -  Space Available Flight, also known as Space A or military hops, provides affordable and easy travel for service personnel, retirees and their families on DOD owned or controlled aircraft.  Since 9/11, it's more challenging to arrange travel this way, since the flight information has been removed from the public domain.  The number of gateways has also been reduced.  Go to military.com and click on "Space A Travel".  This site also provides free information on reduced-rate tickets for the military on commercial flights and other bargains, such as free passes at U.S. ski resorts, half-off rates at a Florida spa resort and discounts on packages to London or the Bahamas. (Information provided by HOMEPORT magazine)

*You can obtain Airport Gate Passes for Military Passenger Family Members?  The Transportation Security Administration has put out a security directive pertaining to Military Passengers. Families of military members may escort the military passenger to the gate or meet a military passenger's inbound arrival at the gate.  The family member can now go to the airline that the military member is flying on and receive a pass to go to the gate. The family member will be required to have a pass and a photo ID to get past the security checkpoint.
